The Foundation incorporates equine facilitated activities that focus on building character traits of responsibility, respect, integrity and encouragement using equine/human interaction in a safe environment.

Riding Programs

Big Brothers & Big Sisters Program
The Hogan Family Foundation is supporting Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Ventura County by providing youth and their mentors an equine experience to enrich their lives. Through encouraging guidance, recreation, and support we are dedicated to making a positive impact in their lives.

Horses on The Homefront Riding Program
The Horses on the Homefront riding program is designed to benefit the Ventura County youth of deployed active duty military personnel. The program is designed to teach basic horse care and handling, as well as. beginning riding lessons that provide them with the foundation skills of good horsemanship.

CASA of Ventura County
We are working with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Ventura County chapter to provide a unique equine experience to enrich the lives of CASA's youth in Ventura County.

Therapeutic Equine Experience

ARC, Social Vocational Services, The Mentor Network, & Villa Esperanza
The Foundation is working alongside ARC, Social Vocational Services, The Mentor Network, and Villa Esperanza to provide a therapeutic equine experience for individuals with special needs. Through these programs, we assist them in achieving various goals to lead richer, more independent lives.
